About the Neighborhood Care Center

The Neighborhood Care Center is a community food, clothing, household items and financial help ministry supported by FBCZ. Though started by our church this ministry is truly a cooperative ministry involving many volunteers and churches throughout Zephyrhills.

This ministry has been God's hands to those in need for over 20 years, making a difference for families in crisis.

Also please be aware that the Care Center shall not give Financial Help for Rent, Deposits, Shelters and Assistance once Utilities are shut off.

Everything you give goes to help needy people living here in the Zephyrhills community!

Annual Events

3rd Saturday in January each year - Annual Yard Sale at First Baptist Church parking lot on SR 54. Sale of household goods donated that can not be sold at the Neighborhood Care Center or are in excess of need. Monies raised will be given in Financial Help to needy persons in the Zephyrhills community.

2nd Saturday in May each year - Annual Postal Carriers Food Drive. US Post Office collects food donation for customers at mail boxes. Central Post Office location divides donations among community food banks including the Neighborhood Care Center. The Care Center normally receives about 1/4 of it's annual food donations through this one food drive.

For the poor shall never cease out of the land: therefore I command thee, saying, Thou shalt open thine hand wide unto thy brother, to thy poor, and to thy needy, in thy land.
